Currently, Associate Professor at the Economic Research Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and teaching in three universities in the field of international economy and finance. More than 11 years experience as a director in the Bulgarian national bank. Served as Vice President of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank, Minister of Trade and Foreign Economic Co-operation in 1997 and Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria in 2013-2014.
