Short Resume: His research interests cover history and the history of thought in the 1930s and 1940s in Czechoslovakia, mainly the history of economic thought (theories and proposals for the post-war order, business cycle theory in Czechoslovakia, the philosophical and economic foundations of Czech nationalism and the theory of the State). In the theory, Tomáš Nikodym focuses on the institutional compatibility of the economic and political order, especially democracy and various kinds of economic planning. He is an author and co-author of several historical and theoretical papers published in both foreign and Czech academic journals and the author of one book.
