MRC welcomed Prof. Giovanni Pavaneli for a workshop on Economic Methodology on 5th and 6th of June 2019

On Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th of June, a seminar on economic methodology held by Prof. Pavanelli of the University of Turin took place at UNWE, hosted by the Monetary and research center. On the first day, Prof. Pavanelli addressed the role of value judgements in economics and in social sciences. To this end, the works of Max Weber, Lionel Robbins, Gunnar Myrdal and the contemporary methological debate have been analyzed. 

The following day two other key issues were addressed: the role of rhetoric of economics in D. McCloskey's analysis and the methodology of recent research in economic fluctuations and crises.
