Seminar "Methodology and History of Economics"

On March 15th 2018 the MRC organized a one-day seminar on "Methodology and History of Economics" for doctoral students from the UNWE. The seminar was given by Giovanni Pavanelli - a Professor of History of Economics at the University of Turin.


Prof. Pavanelli covered two major topics -"Value judgments and value neutrality in economics" and "The Rhetoric of Economics". At the end of the seminar the participants had the chance to discuss with the Italian professor the recent debate on economic science and values and relevant issues of their interest such as the characteristics of good scientific research - accuracy, consistency, scope, fruitfulness.
